Michael William Hall is an artist and licensed architect with more than 25 years of experience in design, construction, and project management.
Michael has extensive hands-on experience in all phases of building—from initial conception and technical detailing to final construction. This intimate understanding of how buildings are constructed strongly influences Michael's design approach. He is also greatly inspired by the art and craft of building—the physical aspects of drawing, modeling, and constructing to create things that are holistically beautiful. Through this process he takes into account each piece—down to the most minute detail—and how it fits into the whole.
Michael's interest in construction methods is further emphasized by the fact that he often personally builds what he designs—from stone retaining walls and fish ponds to ceramic tile murals. Most recently, he completed a 65-foot-long glass tile mural for the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Michael holds a degree in architecture from the University of Michigan. An award-winning artist, Michael currently focuses his energy on architecture, private commissions, and public art competitions.
