Despite having renovated their historic 2-story row house with us a few years earlier, when a 3-story row up the street came on the market, this family jumped at the chance to increase their living space.
We removed walls on the 1st floor to allow more connection between the kitchen and dining room and added large new doors at the rear to bring in more natural light. We added a new deck with expansive stairs to grade to better connect to the rear yard.
On the 2nd floor, small closets were removed to create a new full bath with custom shower and added a deck off the rear, creating a lovely new primary suite.
On the 3rd floor, we reconfigured closets to create a built-in laundry station and updated the existing bathroom with new vanity, plumbing fixtures, and shower. Custom built-ins, new lighting, refinished wood floors, and freshly painted walls throughout the house completed the transformation.
