This handsome brick row house in Woodley Park, D.C. needed updating and refreshing to accommodate a family with two young kids. We removed walls on the 1st floor to bring in more natural light and better connect the kitchen and dining room, incorporating a spacious new peninsula and cozy sitting area off the kitchen.
We converted a sun porch on the 2nd floor into a primary bathroom with a freestanding tub, custom shower, and spacious vanity for two. We added a balcony off the primary bedroom, creating a private exterior space, as well as a protective overhang above the large new bi-folding doors at the rear of the dining room. New lighting, refinished wood floors, and freshly painted walls throughout the house completed the transformation.
